NOTE: This article assumes you know how to get to calendar settings, if you don't know how to get there, then please consult this article: Activating & Setting Up A Calendar
NOTE 2: We can't talk about calendar settings without prior knowledge of the booking link. Yours should be https://firstname-lastname.links-insure.com
When you first enter a calendar's settings, you'll be presented with a number of options split into 5 basic sections
Meeting Details
Calendar Logo
The Calendar logo is an image that will show up as a banner on your booking link like so:
Calendar name & Description
These change the the fields here:
Group, Custom URL & Meeting invite title
Group & Custom URL - DONT CHANGE THESE
Meeting invice title - this changes the title on the event in your calendar after booking the appointment. E.g. If you book an appointment with John Smith, then the event on your Calendars page will read: "John Smith x Mortgage Protection"
Appointment Distribution, Team Members & Event Color
Appointment Distribution - you can leave this as is, it's only relevant if you're working with a team
Team members - should never be empty, otherwise your calendars wont work
Meeting Location - Most agents will set this to "Zoom" but you can set this to whatever you want (if you need help integrating your zoom account please refer to this article)
Event color - this is the color that your booking will be in the Calendars page.
Availability
My Availability
Enable/Disable Whole day
Add extra hours - this allows you to set hours with a gap in between. E.g. 8AM-12PM and 1PM-3PM
This removes the selected range instead of disabling the whole day. If there's only one range then it will simply disable the whole day
This is a widget that allows you to quickly copy the selected range to other days of the week without having to do it manually
Here you can add specific hours to your availability. Good for one-off dates/times that shouldn't repeat on a weekly basis
Look Busy & Recurring meeting
Look Busy - Hide a percentage of your available appointment slots on the booking widget to appear busier and in high demand.
Recurring meeting - this makes it so when you book a slot, the meeting will be automatically booked {{ TImes to repeat }} times over the {{ Repeat }} interval. You should keep this OFF.
Meeting interval, duration, min scheduling notice, et al.
Meeting interval - Meeting interval reflects the amount of time the between booking slots that will be shown in the calendar. For a meeting that should be available at the top of each hour, the interval would be 1 hour
Meeting duration - How long the meeting will last
Minimum Scheduling Notice - Is the earliest point in time at which someone can book an appointment. If you set this to X days, then that will make it impossible to book for less than X days into the future
Date range - The furthest point in time at which someone can book an appointment. If you set this to X days, it'll be impossible to book for more than X days into the future.
Maximum bookings per day - Max amount of a appointments in a given day. When this limit is reached, the system marks the given day as completely unavailable.
Maximum bookings per slot (per user) - This should be 1 (one) unless you'd like to have group meetings
Pre/Post buffer time - These two make it so when an appointment is booked, the system will block off X amount of time before/after the appointment respectively
Forms & Payment - Don't change anything!
Notifications & Additional Options
Here you can edit the notifications that go out whenever an event with takes place with the appointment
Typically you'll only need the "Appointment Booked (Status: Confirmed)".
You can edit the email notification and the In-App notification:
Cancellation and Reschedule Policy
It's recommended you keep both of these OFF
