As mentioned in a previous article, the chats page is designed to loosely resemble modern messaging apps in terms of layout (e.g. facebook messenger).
The Conversations Panel to the left
At the top of the Conversations panel you get some category options, most of which are self explanatory
Just below that you have the search bar, filters icon and create new chat button
Filters include
Assigned (Contact Owner)
Follower Assignment (Contact)
Mentions
Last Message Direction (Inbound/Outbound)
Last Outbound Message Type
Last Message Channel
Just below that you have the selectors and actions for the selection
Note: The Delete button in the Chats page doesn't delete the contact, it just deletes the conversation while preserving the contact. This action is IRREVERSIBLE, use it with caution.
As well as some basic sorting methods
The Center Panel
Most of the elements on this panel are shared with the Contact Page so here we'll only focus on the the unique elements.
Star a Conversation. Starred Conversations are shown on the side with this little start on the top right
Mark as Read/Unread
Delete conversation - Note: This does not delete the contact, just the messages and events of the conversation with the contact. THIS ACTION IS IRREVERSIBLE!!!
Within Conversation Filters, these look like this:
So if you select "SMS" then only the SMS will be shown in the conversation, calls, email and events will be hidden
Contact Information Panel to the right
1. The contact info panel is where you can see some basic contact info, tags, automations and DND status
2. Appointments
