Introduction

In the past - we would move opportunities that opted out over text to be a Lost Opportunity which effectively mean that they're unable to be further pursued.

Any great sales person knows that a NO doesn't always mean no... But on the flip side - there are regulations and guidelines that you must follow as a business-to-consumer sales person.

So - we've adjusted how our campaigns work once someone replies with our opt-out keyword, STOP to give you the most opportunity while staying compliant!

TL;DR

  1. Their opportunity should get renamed “NAME - can't text”.

  2. It's so that you can still call from the smart dialer.

  3. The reason that we're moving them to Hot Leads is because we have done the initial goal of generating a response - so you know that phone number is active and a real person.

  4. Although you can't follow up over text, they're going to be in a higher priority on the Smart Dialer for you so that you're not losing that opportunity because there is a good chance they will still convert over the phone, or through email.

  5. So basically, we just don't want to be removing opportunities that you'd paid good money to try and turn into a sale - so we keep as many options to continue outreach as possible.

  6. If they say “stop calling me” over the phone, you can adjust their DND settings to include “phone” as well.

  7. When they click to unsubscribe from emails - we adjust them to be removed from emails. So as long as there is a way to reach out to the compliantly, we want to give that option to you across all marketing channels possible!

Detailed Overview

1. Whenever someone replies "STOP" to opt out of the text message campaigns - don't worry!

2. You'll notice that we have added "DND" for specific channels.

This allows you to keep following up with your clients in the channels that are still compliant!

4. Additionally, when you see this contact under deals - you'll notice that opportunity's name is now "<> - Can't Text"

Soon - this will be colored so it's more easily identifiable.

5. Because we can no long text and be compliant - we attempt to assist in the sale in other ways
